“˜Food for Thought”™ explores the roots of religion

Mimosa United Church is offering “Food For Thought” to explore the roots of religion.

Rev. Jeff Davison will lead participants through a series of films and lectures on the roots of religions from around the world.

Before the lecture, participants can also enjoy a full-course dinner served by the UCW of Mimosa United Church.

There is a free will offering which will go towards church functions and community. Choose one, two or the complete series. Dinners begin at 6:30pm and lectures are from 7:30 to 8:30pm.

The series is as follows:

– Oct. 23, Sacred City on the Mississippi / Sun and Shadow at Macho Picchu;

– Oct. 30, Celestial Gateway at Giza / Cosmic hub at Stonehenge;

– Nov. 6, Desert Lines at Nazca / Skywatchers at Chaco Canyon; and

– Nov. 13, Mountain of  the Gods at Angkor/The Stone Heads of Easter Island.

Participants are asked to register a few days in advance of each lecture to ensure adequate dinners.
