Youth council plans games night

MINTO – The Minto Youth Action Council is preparing to host a free outdoor games night in Palmerston’s Lions Park on Sept. 10. The event will kick-off at 7pm with a round of capture the flag, after which participants will be invited to participate in smaller group yard games, including ring toss and badminton.

All community youth are welcome, but those under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Music and snacks will be provided. This games night will be the group’s first public event following the COVID-19 hiatus. Those wishing to attend are asked to register on Eventbrite in advance.

MYAC is a youth-led organization working in conjunction with the Town of Minto and The Grove Hub in Palmerston to increase youth participation with and involvement in their communities.

The group meets twice a month and welcomes new members between the ages of 12 and 26 looking to make Minto a better place for youth to live. For more information, contact melanie@thegrovehubs.ca.
