In recognition of National Public Works Week, Centre Wellington is hosting an Equipment Open House on May 24 at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex in Fergus between 9 and 11am.
National Public Works Week is a celebration of the men and women who provide and maintain infrastructure and services collectively known as public works.
This year the theme is Building for Today, Planning for Tomorrow which recognizes the work done today is vital to a sustainable and vibrant tomorrow. The open house provides an opportunity to learn about the services public works staff provide with a display of equipment and trucks.
It’s a chance to climb up and feel what it is like to sit in the driver’s seat of a snow plow, front end loader, grader, flusher truck, and more. Staff will be happy to answer questions about the equipment and services.
