Wellington Road 123 reopened near Palmerston after serious accident

MINTO – Emergency crews responded to a serious collision involving a single vehicle on Wellington Road 123, near Palmerston on Sept. 7 at about 6:15am.

A Wellington County OPP press release states a red minivan struck a tree and the lone occupant sustained serious injuries.

Emergency services responded and the driver was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police say Wellington Road 123 between Wellington Road 109 and Perth Line 92 is expected to remain closed through the morning while investigators determine the cause of the collision.

In a social media post at 1:13pm, the OPP announced the road has been reopened.

The Wellington County OPP is asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision to call 1-888-310-1122.
