In late February, Wellington North communities of Arthur and Mount Forest were experiencing a large number of frozen water services due to the extreme cold temperatures.
In March, the township asked “all residents connected to the municipal drinking water system to let a tap in their house run” to prevent further frozen services.
This week Wellington North’s director of public works Matthew Aston removed this directive stating “all residents connected to the Arthur or Mount Forest water system are asked to return to normal use of water. At this time we do not believe there remains a threat of frozen services.”
