Wellington North hires treasurer

Mayor Andy Lennox and Wellington councillors announced on March 11 the hiring of Kimberly Henderson to the position of treasurer for the municipality.

Henderson brings over 25 years of professional accounting and finance experience in both the public and private sectors, township officials stated.

During her 10 years of service with the Town of Caledon as financial analyst, Henderson was a strong supporter for both council and staff, stated the township press release.

Specializing in public sector financial management, Henderson has studied extensively with the Certified General Accountants Association of Ontario and the Association of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario.

As a entrepreneurial accounting professional Henderson has provided temporary support services to various public accounting firms, not-for-profit and municipal clients.

Henderson and her spouse and family have been longtime residents of Orangeville.

She stays connected and involved in her community through volunteer hours with local organizations and spends as much time as possible with her two young grandsons.

“Kim has offered support to the township on previous occasions and provided key input during the 2016 budget deliberations,” said Lennox.

“We are pleased to have Kim join the Wellington North professional team.”
