Wellington North council updates

Wellington North council has approved the funds for the new snowplow truck.

The cost is $11,300.13 above budget; however Matthew Aston, director of public works, believes that the sale of the existing plow will finance the difference.

The increased cost is due to the specifications for snowplows developed over the years.

Paul Dowber, treasurer, mentioned that there are no current buyers for the existing plow but the previous sale at auction was a higher sale than they anticipated.

Mount Forest Fireworks Festival attendees will be able to enjoy the beer garden for another year.
