WELLINGTON COUNTY – Communities across the county took time to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in war on Nov. 11.

On Remembrance Day services were held in Aberfoyle, Arthur, Drayton, Fergus, Elora, Erin, Harriston, Mount Forest, Palmerston, Rockwood and Salem.

For many, it marked the return to full traditional services after two years were interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The previous evening, on Nov. 10, the Wellington County Museum and Archives held its annual candle light ceremony in Aboyne.
