Wellington Catholic announces 2018-19 school year calendar

The Ministry of Education has approved the school year calendars for the 2018-19 school year for elementary and secondary schools in the Wellington Catholic District School Board.

Trustees initially approved the draft school year calendars at the March meeting of the board, which was then submitted to the Ministry of Education for final approval.

The calendars meet all of the requirements under Ontario Regulation 304 and were reviewed by stakeholders.

Both calendars have 194 school days, including seven professional activity days.

Ten instructional days have been scheduled for secondary exams.

Students will start the school year on Sept. 4. The last day of school will be June 27, 2019 for elementary students and June 26, 2019 for secondary students.

The Christmas break will be from Dec. 24 to Jan. 4 and March Break will be from March 11 to 15.
