It is with great anticipation that the maternity ward at Groves Memorial Community Hospital awaits the first child born in 2013.
The Centre Wellington Welcome Wagon is preparing to shower the new baby and mother with gifts from businesses throughout the area.
Businesses can donate items, with their company business cards and brochures attached, at two locations: Roxanne’s Reflections at 152 St. Andrew Street East or The Cellar Pub and Grill at 13 Mill Street East in Elora. Collection will continue until Dec. 23.
Organizer Helen Marucci notes that businesses throughout Centre Wellington have always been generous for this special occasion, but she hopes this year to break the record of contributions to create a special Welcome Wagon bounty and support local businesses too.
