WEB ONLY: Bird hike celebrates the launch of

To celebrate the launch of "Trails Take Flight", Guelph Tourism Services and Guelph Field Naturalists are hosting two one-hour guided bird hikes on Saturday, June 27.

The hikes are free of charge and begin at Riverside Bandshell at 9 and 11 a.m. The tour continues on the Speed River Royal Recreation Trail.

"Trails Take Flight" is a map and interactive website, highlighting 20 bird-watching trails throughout the Grand River Watershed. The printed map is available at Guelph Tourism Services, located in City Hall; as well as various tourism centres located throughout the Grand River Watershed. The interactive on-line version can be found at www.grandrivercountry.ca

"Trails Take Flight" is a Grand River Country Tourism Alliance initiative, funded by an Ontario Ministry of Health "Trails for Life" grant, with research support from Guelph Field Naturalists.
