WDGPH offers flu shot buttons

It’s the must have accessory for the season – the flu season.

When WDG Public Health flu clinics open this week, everyone who gets a flu shot will receive a button or sticker (“I got my flu shot”) accessory.

“We decided to have some fun this year and want residents to join us,” said Rosalyn LaRochelle, program manager for clinical services. “We’ve set a target to administer 15,000 flu shots at our clinics this year.  We’re handing out the buttons and stickers to everyone who get their flu shot and will measure the progress with a flu shot tally board.”

Health care workers are sporting buttons and stickers and many use the campaign as a bit of friendly competition.

For a list of flu clinic dates, times and locations go to www.wdgpublichealth.ca. or visit  www.facebook.com/gotyourshot. Have a look at photos from the clinics or post pictures and let people know about personal flu shots.
