Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH) is now offering an online health care community.
On Feb. 26, the health unit launched Stay Well WDG blog, a site where the WDGPH team will share its knowledge, expertise, tips and ideas, along with reliable, up-to-date information to help residents achieve a safe and healthy lifestyle.
The site was spurred by the surge of interest WDGPH saw for social media.
The health unit said it wants to meet patients in the online world as well as in clinics, classrooms and the community.
Public health offers programs and services that help everyone in the community be as healthy as possible. Parents who are expecting can benefit from prenatal education, breast feeding clinics, publicly funded immunizations, speech and language services, dental clinics and parental classes.
Teens and adults can receive confidential birth control, sexual health services and testing for STI’s and HIV from public health.
WDGPH also assists businesses, educators and health care providers.
Subscribe to the Stay Well WDG blog to hear the latest on healthy living from the team of experts.
