Highlights from the Feb. 24 Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) meeting include:
Long term financing
Trustees approved the board to finance new schools through the Ontario Financing Authority (OFA). The ministry provides the money for the loan payments. The $6.8 million dollars is at an interest rate of 3 per cent until 2040.
School year calendars
The 2015-16 school year will start for students on Sept. 8 in 2015.
