Two days, two crimes, one victim

Police are looking for clues after thieves broke into a  garage here – twice in two days.

On Aug. 14 Wellington County OPP received a report of a break-in  to a garage storage unit located on a residential property on Concession 7 in Wellington North Township.

Police say suspects entered the garage on Aug. 14 sometime between midnight and 8am “with no sign of forced entry.” The same property had a 2005 dark blue Audi (Ontario licence plate BKZA 781) stolen the previous day.

“There was an automatic garage door opener inside the Audi that is believed to have been used by the suspects to gain access to the garage … the following day,” police stated.

Stolen items include a red 2002 Honda CBR 1100 motorcycle (licence 8638M), an Excalibur Matrix crossbow, Stihl 291 CB-E chainsaw and various ammunition.

Anyone with information can contact the Wellington County or Crime Stoppers.
