Two charged in separate ‘partner violence’ incidents

MAPLETON – On April 1, Wellington County OPP officers responded to an address in Mapleton and initiated an intimate partner violence investigation.

A 62-year-old Woolwich Township resident was charged with sexual assault, sexual assault causing bodily harm and two counts of criminal harassment. 

The accused is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.

MAPLETON – On March 20 Wellington County OPP officers responded to an address in Mapleton and initiated an intimate partner violence investigation.

A 34-year-old Mississauga resident was charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. 

The accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph court at a later date. 

Police say “victims of sexual assault and intimate partner violence are not alone. … One organization you can contact is Victim Services Wellington. If you are in immediate crisis, dial 911.”
