Two battles in municipal election race
Two races are shaping up here for the Oct. 27 municipal election.
Shawn McLeod has entered his name on the unofficial list of candidates and is seeking a term in Ward 1. McLeod will face incumbent Dan Yake.
Councillor Andy Lennox has also filed papers for the mayor’s post and will face off against incumbent Ray Tout.
Ross Chaulk is also seeking a seat in Ward 3 currently held by councillor Mark Goetz. Chaulk has served as a councillor and was defeated for the position of mayor in the last election.
Incumbent Ward 3 county councillor Gary Williamson and incumbent Ward 4 county councillor Lynda White remain unchallenged in the race.
