Turn old tires into new dreams during the Take Back Tire Event

Get rid of your old tires and help fulfill dreams for children with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses. Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association, Ontario Federation of Agriculture, and Ontario Tire Stewardship are collecting your used tires for the 6th annual Tire Take Back event.

Bring your unlimited old passenger, light truck, and agricultural tires for free to the drop-off locations from June 1 – 6 during business hours.

The event is about recycling your tires for a great cause. The proceeds from each tire will help The Sunshine Foundation of Canada, which has enabled children to take dream holidays, meet their idols, and more.

More than 46,000 tires were collected last year across Ontario. This year’s goal is to raise more than $100,000. Over the last five years, the OARA Tire Take Back events have raised more than $820,000.

Wellington County has three drop off locations participating in the province-wide campaign:

– Fergus Auto Recyclers,  6252 County Road 29, Fergus;

– Kenilworth Auto Recyclers,   7258 Sideroad 5 West, Kenilworth; and

– Erin Auto Recyclers,  9572 Sideroad 17, Erin.
