Township building activity on course

Building activity in the township in 2014 has matched the first two months of 2013.

Chief building official Darren Jones released his year-to-date report to council at its meeting March 10.

As of the end of February, the township had issued 13 building permits valued at $1,072,580 and fees of $11,349, compared to $1,067,500 permits and $10,697 in fees for the same period last year.

The bulk of the permits were from single -family home construction and renovations.
