During his election campaign last fall, Mayor Kelly Linton promised to host four town hall meetings each year to further enhance community engagement.

This week Linton announced the township has partnered with the Belwood and District Lions Club to co-host the first town hall meeting on Feb. 5 at 7pm at the Belwood Community Hall.

The meeting will include brief presentations by Mayor Linton and councillors regarding the township’s accomplishments, key initiatives and priorities moving forward.

Following the presentation the meeting will be opened up for the community to ask questions directly of the mayor and councillors.

“I am excited about our first town hall for 2015 and look forward to engaging our community about things that matter to you,” said Linton.

“I also want to thank the [Lions Club] for partnering with us to co-host this meeting.” He also invited residents  to visit the township website (www.centrewellington.ca) for up-to-date information regarding the township.

“If you need some help, you’ll know just who to contact to get it. Be sure to bookmark the site as it will be maintained and updated on a regular basis.” he added.
