‘Tilt your kilt’ and book your tickets for the Fergus Scottish Festival

FERGUS –  With lots of love from the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games, organizers recently announced that all tickets and campsites will go on sale online March 1 at 10am.

Clan registrations and concession applications will also be available.

The 2023 Fergus Scottish Festival takes place Aug. 11 to 13. With plans to bring guests the best of “Scotland without the Airfare,” the festival will feature the four pillars of highland games:

– heavy events;

– highland dance;

– clans and heritage; and

– pipes and drums.

“Planning is well underway for the 78th Fergus Scottish Festival this summer. We look forward to welcoming guests back to share in the excitement and the celebrating of Fergus’ 190th anniversary,” festival president Matthew Bennett-Monty stated in a press release.

He added, “Stay tuned as we release more details of special guests in the weeks to come.”

Can’t wait until August to don your kilt or a splash of tartan?

The festival invites the community to join on Feb. 26 at 4:30pm for the festival’s annual free Kilt Skate at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex.

Tartan up and enjoy some skating, hot chocolate and shortbread and, of course, the sound of the bagpipes, organizers say.
