Three charged with attempted murder in Morriston home invasion
Resident sent to trauma centre with gunshot wound last November
MORRISTON – Three people have been charged with attempted murder in connection with a home invasion last year that sent one person to hospital with a gunshot wound.
Emergency crews responded to a Morriston home at about 4:40am on Nov. 16, 2025.
A resident of the home was shot during the break-in and transported to a trauma centre, Wellington County OPP officials stated.
On June 19, an 18-year-old from Oshawa was charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime.
The accused, who was under 18 at the time, is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
On June 24, Lavontae Bowleg, 20, of Mississauga, was charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime and nine firearm charges.
He is to appear in Guelph court on Oct. 9.
On Sept. 9, Keillo Waisome, 19, of Welland, was charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime and seven firearm charges.
He is to appear in Guelph court on Oct. 5.
OPP officials say a publication ban has been issued in the case so they "will not be able to release further information."
