Pipes, Plaid and Pageantry parade - The Pipes, Plaid and Pageantry parade took over downtown Fergus on Aug. 8. The event kicked off the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games weekend.

The Friday night Tattoo provided a taste of the Fergus Scottish Festival on Aug. 9, including  pipe bands, the popular and entertaining Tom Leadbeater and the Schiehallion Dancers, an evening concert performance by Cape Breton fiddler Ashley MacIsaac, a fireworks display by David Whysall and the lighting of the hearth with members of the attending clans.

Saturday and Sunday featured many activities including international competitors taking part in the Highland Games, the Mass Pipe Bands, Highland dancing competitions, heritage tents, demonstrations and more.
