Stove-top fire in Fergus results in smoke damage
FERGUS – Centre Wellington Fire and Rescue Services responded to a report of a fire at a Victoria Terrace home at around 11:49am on Sept. 16.
The fire was already out when firefighters arrived, and smoke was ventilated from the home.
Deputy fire chief Jonathan Karn said a small fire on top of a kitchen stove at the residence caused around $15,000 in damage due to smoke.
