GUELPH – Drivers who regularly make the southern part of the Hanlon Expressway part of their travels may have to find an alternate route on Friday night.

Dufferin Construction will be closing the Highway 6 or the Hanlon Expressway on Nov. 29, starting at 7pm, to erect girders of the new underpass being built at Wellington Road 34 and Highway 6.

Southbound traffic from the new midblock interchange north of Wellington Road 34 will be closed, and there will be no access to Guelph from Highway 401 via Highway 6 north.

The closure is expected to continue until Nov. 30 at 7am.
