Smart meter results mean increased costs at Well 6 in Arthur
At the December meeting of Wellington North council - works superintendent Gary Williamson reported that the new smart meters being installed at the municipal wells have drastically increased hydro charges at Well 6.
The department is looking into options to reduce those costs, which could vary from replacing well pumps to installing capacitors on the existing motors.
