Skateboard meeting in new year
A public meeting about a skateboard park in Arthur will have to wait until 2010.
At the Nov. 23 Wellington North council session, Mayor Mike Broomhead commented on a letter from Dean Hershy that included names of those wanting a skateboard park in Arthur.
He said the recreation committee decided a public meeting would be held in the new year. Broomhead added that still gives the municipality time if additional money is needed in the 2010 budget.
He said committee members felt since the proposal would affect the budget, a public meeting should be held.
