FERGUS – Police are asking for help to identify two people they say are responsible for a recent petty theft.

Wellington County OPP officials say officers responded to a “theft at a business on St. David Street in Fergus.”

“It was reported that on [June 19 at about noon] two suspects entered the store, concealed approximately $600 worth of merchandise and departed the store without making any attempts to pay,” police stated in a press release.

“The suspects were observed leaving in a black Ford Expedition.”

One suspect is described as a heavyset woman with long black hair wearing a red crop top and jean shorts. The other is a white man with a moustache wearing a black shirt, black shoes and a black Callaway hat.

Anyone with any information can contact the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
