Session on retirement planning for women

A unique information session on Oct. 4 at the Village of Arbour Trails will focus on helping women prepare for retirement.

The event, Intelligent Women Informed Now (IWIN) will feature speakers from a variety of professions who will cover all aspects of retirement planning. Topics covered include: fitness breaks and fun, lessons from a lawyer, get real about real estate, financial peace of mind, and around the world.

Seminars such as this are important as women generally live longer than men and on less money, with the median age of widows being 56. Divorce rate is also higher in those approaching retirement, with half of women in their mid-to-late 60s on their own.

Women are also less likely to seek professional advice or assistance concerning their future.

Therefore this is a chance to meet with and hear from experts, ask questions and find out how to prepare in an informed and supportive environment. The team of women who will be presenting have valuable information to share and are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Admission is $50 and includes lunch. The session will take place from 9am to 3:30pm on Oct. 4 at 33 Bayberry Dr., Guelph. Pre-register by calling Jan at 519-821-6191 ext. 318 or iwinseminars@gmail.com. Seating is limited.
