Senior charged with careless driving in October crash

GUELPH/ERAMOSA  A Rockwood senior has been charged with careless driving causing bodily harm in connection with a serious two-vehicle crash here last fall.

On Oct. 8 at about 12:45pm, emergency crews  responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 6 at Wellington Road 22, north of Guelph.

Wellington County OPP officials say a red SUV and grey SUV collided and multiple occupants were injured.

“One was air lifted to a trauma centre with potentially life-threatening injuries and three were transported to a local hospital,” police stated in a press release.

On April 3, police announced a  78-year-old Rockwood resident was charged with careless driving causing bodily harm and was to appear in Guelph court on April 5.
