Santa Claus coming to Mapleton
MAPLETON - Santa Claus is coming to the township.
The Drayton Santa Claus Parade is set for Dec. 3 at 7pm.
Following the main event parade-goers can head for the Drayton Fire Hall, where the Drayton Rotary Club is hosting a tree-lighting event.
Hot chocolate, apple cider, and popcorn will be served as the community gathers for carol singing and the lighting of Drayton’s Christmas tree.
The Moorefield Santa Claus Parade is set for Dec. 4 at 1pm.
After the parade youngsters can meet Santa at the corner of McGivern and Caroline Streets.
Donations of non-perishable food items for the local food bank will be accepted at K.A. Hammonds downtown.
The lineup for the parade, hosted by the Optimist Club of Moorefield, will begin at 12pm at the Murray Group property.
