Rural Ontario Institute announces 2024 AALP gala

GUELPH – The Rural Ontario Institute (ROI) recently announced this year’s Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program (AALP) Dream Gala and Auction will be held on April 13.

AALP Class 19 and Class 20 invite you to experience a night of elegance in “The Roaring Twenties.”

“AALP has not only equipped me with the skills and confidence that define my success today, but the learning experience within the course has been invaluable, providing knowledge tenfold,” said Hayley Mackay, chair of the gala and trades and tech truck program manager at Skills Ontario.

“My classmates, a rich source of wisdom, have become lifelong friends for whom I am truly grateful.”

The Dream Gala begins at 5pm with a cocktail hour and VIP tasting experience. Dinner will be served at 6:45 pm with a live auction to follow at 8pm.

The auction will offer a limited number of unique items and will showcase a wide variety of distinctive experiences for bidding.

“What better way to help support … agricultural leaders of today and tomorrow and ensure the strength and prosperity of the sector,” said Kevin Weaver, vice chair of the gala. “The Dream Gala offers guests an excellent networking and social evening while supporting AALP Class 20 on their journey of leadership excellence.”

ROI leadership programs director Gabrielle Ferguson  said “This year’s AALP Dream Gala will build future capacity by bringing together devoted champions that provide their time and resources to celebrate this powerhouse sector.

“We are grateful to our donors, sponsors and to the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, who have supported AALP since its inception. We are excited to welcome AALP alumni and other friends for a wonderful evening.”
