Runway mishap at airfield sends one to hospital
GUELPH/ERAMOSA – One individual was taken to hospital following an incident at the Guelph AirPark last week. Wellington County OPP officials say emergency crews responded to the airfield on Skyway Drive in Guelph/Eramosa on June 5 at about 1:15pm.
“It is reported that a small general aviation aircraft collided into the runway during takeoff,” police stated in a press release. “One occupant in the plane sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to local hospital for assessment.”
Police say Transport Canada has been notified of the collision.
