Rockwood man dead after being struck by pickup
A Rockwood man is dead after he was hit by a pickup truck while riding an ebike here on Monday night.
Dead is Frank Wood, 87, of Rockwood.
On Feb. 8 at about 4:45pm, Wellington County OPP received a call about a serious two-vehicle collision on Wellington Road 125 south of Wellington Road 50.
OPP officers, firefighters from Guelph-Eramosa and paramedics with Guelph-Wellington EMS responded to the scene, where Wood was pronounced dead. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
The cause of the collision was investigated by Wellington County OPP and the West Region OPP Highway Safety Division. Wellington Road 125 was closed for several hours between Wellington Road 50 and Halton-Erin Townline.
