Residents asked to keep hydrants clear
During heavy snowfalls, fire hydrants can become snow covered and difficult to locate.
Centre Wellington Fire and Rescue is asking residents to help by clearing snow around fire hydrants.
Fire hydrants need to be clearly visible and accessible.
Time is essential when fighting a fire; every minute counts.
The department is requesting that property owners with a hydrant close to their home or on a commercial property - to help out by keeping hydrants clear of snow or other obstructions.
