Puslinch to get $16,250 for website

With support from Ontario’s Rural Economic Development Program, the Township of Puslinch will redevelop and enhance its website to encourage economic development and attract businesses and residents to the township by providing timely and complete information to stakeholders on their municipal government, programs, services, events and initiatives.

Provincial officials state that supporting rural communities is part of the government’s job creation plan.

The comprehensive plan and its six priorities focus on Ontario’s greatest strengths – its people and strategic partnerships, officials state.

“Helping the Puslinch enhance its website will allow residents, businesses, visitors and community groups to obtain new information about key services, supporting new investment, attracting new residents, and strengthening our local economy,” says Liz Sandals, Guelph MPP.

Officials say that since 2003, the province has invested more than $167 million in 468 Rural Economic Develpment projects, generating over $1.2 billion in economic activity and creating more than 35,000 jobs.
