Province re-appoints Austin to police board
Linda Austin has been reappointed to the Wellington County Police Services Board.
Board chairman Lynda White made that announcement on March 29 at county council.
White noted Austin has already served six years on the board, and White is pleased she is willing to return.
That appointment by the provincial cabinet runs to May of 2013.
White was pleased because she noted that some Police Service Boards in Ontario are short of members. She added she remembers the extra work and difficulties the county board had a few years ago when it was short staffed.
