Prohibited driver charged
NORTH HURON – On April 4 just after 12pm, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop for a suspected prohibited driver on Amberley Road, just outside of Wingham.
“The investigating officer confirmed that the male driver was prohibited from driving under the Criminal Code and was subsequently placed under arrest and taken into custody,” police stated in a press release.
A 34-years-old Kenilworth man was charged with failing to comply with a probation order, two counts of driving while prohibited and two counts of driving while suspended.
The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for 45 days. The accused is to appear in Goderich court on May 13.
