PONSONBY  – The Ponsonby Jr. Sting team travelled to Tara to participate in the Ontario Amateur Softball Association Provincial U13 Tournament the weekend of Aug. 11 to 13. Ponsonby won its first game versus the Elma Avengers 13-4. The team then lost 7-6 to the Napanee Express, won game three 19-3 and lost the quarterfinal game of the ‘B’ Division versus Elma (a rematch of game one). Team officials say Ponsonby ended the weekend with a record of 2-2 and played well against some of the best teams in the province.
