Police still investigating July break-in at gas station

ELORA – Police are continuing to investigate a break-in and theft at the Esso Gas Station located on Wellington Road 7 in Elora.

Wellington County OPP officials say that on July 15, between the hours of 12 and 5am, “unknown suspects gained access through the roof of the business and stole approximately $25,000 worth of cigarettes and cash.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the OPP toll free at 1-888-310-1122 or report online at www.opp.ca/reporting. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a tip on-line at www.csgw.tips. Tip providers may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000.
