Police seek witnesses in serious road rage incident

GUELPH – Guelph Police are looking for witnesses after an alleged road rage incident here that left two vehicles demolished and a Rockwood man facing criminal charges.

Emergency crews were called to a parking lot on Silvercreek Parkway North in Guelph at about 9:15pm on Nov. 6. Police say  officers located two “heavily damaged” vehicles upon their arrival.

“Investigation revealed one of the drivers became angry after another driver flashed his high beams while driving on Woodlawn Road West, and began following and eventually intentionally colliding with the other car,” police stated in a press release.

“The suspect then smashed the driver’s side window of the other car, pulled the driver out and pushed him to the ground.”

A 23-year-old Rockwood male is charged with dangerous driving, assault and mischief under $5,000. He is to appear in Guelph court on Feb. 18. Guelph Police Service does not provide the name of those charged.
