Police seek suspects in Mapleton crime spree

MAPLETON – Police are seeking help to identify two people that could be involved with a recent string of thefts here.

Wellington County OPP officials say that sometime after 6:30pm on Dec. 12, a blue 2016 Nissan Juke was stolen from a residence in Rothsay. Later that night, sometime after 12:30am on Dec. 13, a credit card was stolen from a vehicle parked at a residence on 12th Line in Mapleton.

A few hours later, at about 3:45am, a theft from a vehicle occurred at a residence on 14th Line which police say involving the stolen Juke. 

Then, at about 5:15am, the stolen credit card was used at a gas station on King Street North in Kitchener. Surveillance has captured images of two parties operating the stolen vehicle and an unidentified red GMC Yukon.

“Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the persons from the photo (see photos above),” police stated in a press release.
