Police seek information on theft from Erin ATM

Police are seeking information after an ATM at the Royal Bank in Erin was opened and money stolen last week.

On Sept. 18 at approximately 1am, three suspects wearing motorcycle helmets and gloves entered the bank and obstructed security cameras in the area.

Over the next hour and a half, the suspects allegedly used tools to pry open the ATM and remove three cash trays.

The three suspects then left with the trays and their equipment. The trays were found emptied and discarded near the bank.

The investigation is ongoing at this time and any person with information regarding this incident should contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Police are also asking that anyone who observed suspicious parties in the area in the days prior to the incident to call. The suspects may or may not have been operating motorcycles.
