Police looking to identify man accused of following student

FERGUS – Police are looking to identify a man that followed a student on the way to school here on Tuesday.

Wellington County OPP officials say a youth walking along St Andrew Street East was followed by an adult male shortly after 8am.

Police described the man as white, thin build, possibly in his 40s, with dark green eyes, wearing dark clothing and dark grey sneakers, and carrying two black garbage bags in his right hand.

The man was last seen going south on Gartshore Street.

"The Wellington County OPP patrolled the area extensively and are continuing to investigate," police stated in a press release.

"The school was also made aware of the incident."
