Police looking for suspect after pet store break-in
FERGUS – Police are looking for help to solve a local pet store break-in and theft that occured last week.
Wellington County OPP officials say police responded to a break-in in progress at Fergus Pet Corner on St. David Street North in Fergus on July 22 at about 1:45am.
“An unknown suspect smashed a glass door to gain entry to the store,” police stated in a press release.
“Once inside, the suspect stole approximately $200 and a cash register. Police arrived within minutes, however, the suspect had already fled the scene.”
The suspect is described as a male about six feet tall and 200 pounds, wearing a black winter jacket, grey pants and gloves.
