Police looking for clues to help solve toothpaste heist

GUELPH/ERAMOSA – Police are looking for help to find those responsible for stealing about $250,000 worth of toothpaste from a local business.

Wellington County OPP officials say officers responded to a theft call at "a storage lot" on Highway 7 in Guelph/Eramosa on March 5.

Police say "a white Volvo semi-truck and a white 53-foot trailer (Ontario #V2698F) labeled with decal #53101R" were stolen from the lot.

"The trailer was reported to contain approximately $250 000 worth of toothpaste," police stated in a press release.

Anyone with information about this incident can contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Tip providers may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000.
