Police looking for clues after two vehicles stolen, later recovered in Fergus

FERGUS – Police officials say a truck and SUV were stolen and later recovered close by – and they believe other vehicles in the north end of Fergus may have been entered overnight by would-be thieves.

Wellington County OPP received two reports about stolen vehicles on the morning of Oct. 10.

"A pickup truck was stolen from a residence on Harper Crescent and recovered on Strathallan Street and [an SUV] was stolen from a residence on Gzowski and recovered on St. Andrew Street East," states an OPP press release issued on Oct. 10.

"Investigators believe other vehicles may have been entered in that area of Fergus and are asking anyone who suspects their vehicle was entered or has information regarding this incident to call [police]..."
