Police beat: Woman assaulted officer: OPP

MOUNT FOREST – A Guelph woman faces assault charges following an incident here earlier this month.

On April 2 at about 9:30pm, emergency crews responded to a medical assist call at a residence on Waterloo Street in Mount Forest.

“Initial reports indicated that a person had fallen down a flight of stairs and required medical attention,” states a Wellington County OPP press release.

“It was discovered the injuries had occurred as the result of an assault and not by a fall. During the course of an arrest, one officer was assaulted. 

“Two parties were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.”

Amber Joan Rundstadtler, 30, of Guelph, was charged with assault with a weapon, assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest. She is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.

‘Suspicious’ pair charged

MOUNT FOREST – Two north Wellington residents have been charged after police responded to a suspicious persons call at a business on Main Street South here.

“It was reported that two patrons where acting suspiciously at a local restaurant,” police,” states a Wellington County OPP press release.

Tyler James Troup, 23, of Harriston, was charged with possession of Schedule I drug (fentanyl).

Lisa Christine Graham, 25, of Mount Forest, was charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and failing to comply with an undertaking. 

Both are to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
