Police beat: Guelph resident charged in vehicle entry

ARISS – On Dec. 16 at about 8am Wellington County OPP received a report of a theft from a vehicle on Ellenville Crescent here.

“It was reported that sometime overnight, unknown suspects had entered the complainant’s vehicle and taken a number of personal items, including electronics,” police stated in a press release.

“At approximately 11:40am, OPP located the stolen property in the possession of a person within the City of Guelph.”

Merima Ceho, 37, of Guelph, was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, two counts of theft of mail, possession of a Schedule I substance (methamphetamine) and three counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.

The accused is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
