Police beat: Five charges

WELLINGTON NORTH – A Cambridge motorcyclist is facing five traffic charges after being pulled over on Highway 6 in Wellington North.

Wellington OPP pulled over a 38-year-old driver on the morning of July 27 after witnessing an “unsafe move.”

According to police, the person has been charged with making an unsafe move, driving without insurance, using an unauthorized licence plate and charged twice for driving with a suspended licence.

The motorcycle was seized by police for 45 days, and the person is to appear later in Guelph court.

Partner violence

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Local police continue to lay intimate partner violence charges.

A 52-year-old from Mississauga was charged with mischief and harassment in relation to a disturbance in Centre Wellington on the evening of Aug. 2.

The accused individual is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
